O come to the altar, the Father’s arms are open wide.
When faced with discouragement, it is imperative that we find solace in the comfort that only God can give. The Holy Spirit is our comforter and friend and we can save ourselves from more hurt if we turn to God first before pouring out our hearts to anyone else when dealing with discouragement. Today I encourage you to surrender all your hurt and disappointment to the Lord and encourage yourself in the Lord by saying “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it”.
Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness to me and for taking good care of me, you are my encouragement. You sustain me, you carry me and I am grateful that I can rest in your goodness and mercy to me. Thank you for never leaving me lonely and for answering my prayers. You lift me up O lord, you strengthen my hands, you give me courage.
Thank you Lord for showing me how to see myself through your eyes. You are my hope and glory forever and all I am is for you. Thank you for showing me favor and for covering me with your grace. I am grateful that you refresh and encourage my soul. You keep me from destruction, being with you keeps me from being consumed with the cares of this life. Thank you Jesus for being bigger than any problem and for teaching me to trust in you more.
